Emergency Seawater Desalination Plant Project in Taichung, Taiwan

◎ Description：
In 2021, Taiwan experiences the worst drought in 56 years, and Taichung is placed on "red alert", meaning that water supplies to households and businesses would be on for five days and off for two days and more than 1 month that part of places is affected by water rationing. In that case, the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) launched the "Drought Resistance 2.0 Plan" and to install an emergency seawater desalination unit in Taichung. It can produce water 15,000m3 of water per day.
Water is essential for our lives, that also translates to our ability of fighting with pandemic, therefore the government's decision of creating emergency seawater desalination plant in Taichung. Plants like these are already constructed in different parts of the country such as Kinmen, Penghu and Hsinchu, and also supported by HCP pumps. Six HCP AF-1050 (10" , 37kW) submersible sewage / wastewater pumps are installed.
